In honor of #EarthDay today, I would love to introduce you to one of my favorite stores in Dallas. Owned by two Latinas, Raiz Plant Studio is a store that will make you want to be a mom to all plants of the world.
I will share a little secret with all of you - my first plant ever was a succulent plant. I was so excited to have it that I watered it way more than I was supposed to, and I killed it. But that didn't stop me from getting another one. I experienced the joy that having a plant can bring to your home, plus I felt like I learned my lesson. So a couple of months later, I decided to get a new one along with an orchid, and I'm happy to report that they've been alive and well for the past four years.
I invite you to support not only your local shops but also your ecosystem. Adopt your first succulent or your 200th, and it doesn't matter - what matters is to continue taking care of these beautiful living beings along with the rest of the planet.
